Paris View

These paintings, like many of my pieces, began with segments of photos taken and materials gathered on our travels to interesting places.  The paintings grow out of these collage materials at the same time that the materials become integrated into the painted areas, creating layers that add to the surface texture of the pieces.

 I'm always fascinated by the richness and variety, the beauty and complexity of the cultures and the cities we visit.  It is this complexity that I try to bring to my paintings.
